Primarily run by proprietor Mike Price, but co-opting others as necessary, SELFMED solutions has been helping its clients develop their businesses since early 1997.

Mike’s previous experience included working in the International Medical Division of the then world-leading Wellcome Laboratories. Subsequently, he was responsible for the set-up and operation of medical services within the European Warner-Wellcome joint venture company. The business of this latter company is now controlled by Pfizer.

Since becoming an independent consultant, Mike has continued to work on his ‘old’ products but has taken on work from newer clients with different product types, areas and problems. Typical of recent work:

ü	Provided advice to a client in respect of lobbying for fairer wordings in a European Directive (THMPD) under draft

ü	Applied for, and after careful subsequent argument, achieved ACBS listing for a toiletry product (UK NHS process)

ü	Consulted on future, and better use, of a pharmacy sales force

ü	Developed and implemented technical training for a UK sales force, which details healthcare professionals

ü	Compiled, submitted and achieved licence for a line extension OTC product

ü	Advised, and helped generate an innovative training package for pharmacy counter assistants

ü	Numerous speaking engagements to pharmacy and dental groups
